Desafios e perspectivas da politica de acolhimento dos migrantes venezuelanos vindo para o Brasil

Abstract

The present work focuses on the Venezuelan migration to Brazil, addressing its primary causes and the solutions structured by the Brazilian government, supported by international organizations, to mitigate the implications of this high migratory flow to the country. In this outlined context, the presente study justify itself for approaching the current subject, pertinent and relevant to the Brazilian society. The central question of the research is formulated through the following problem: how did the reception policy of the Venezuelan migrants that came to Brazil occur, in the light of the International (Human Rights and Refugees) Law? Starting on this central question, the main hypothesis of this study sustains that the impact caused by the Venezuelan migration was mitigated by the reception policy adopted by Brazil. The main goal of this work is to analyze the actions performed by the Brazilian government, in the sense of facing the challenges imposed by the Venezuelan migratory flow. In order to achieve the outlined object, a case study is performed throughout a documental and bibliographic research that, at a first moment, approaches the normative development of migrant protection. Subsequently, the analysis turns to understanding the trajectory of the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis. Finally, the work will address the policy focused on the welcoming of the Venuzuelans migrants, as a result of a joint effort between Brazil and international organizations, showing its institucional and social legacy to the country.
