Abstract: The way of social interaction has undergone through changes over time, changing the way generations play and apprehend the rules of insertion in social contexts. The video game, a virtual mode of social interaction, is shown to be a constant in this area, present in several platforms and stages of the individual's development. To achieve this, a survey was carried out through a questionnaire, where the participants answered about socialization and the video game. Through the analysis by category of Bardin, it is concluded that, although some subjects do not have the objective of socializing when playing, they interact and can find, through the video game, support among their peers, making the video game a possible transitional object in this period of change. From this conclusion, it is therefore proposed interventions and the insertion of the psychologist in the media used by the players are offered, through online psychological emergency attendance, aiming to meet the needs of the group in their distress.
